Rentplex Privacy Policy

Rentplex respects you privacy. This policy explains what information the Owner collects and how that information is used and shared.

Rentplex may contain links to other websites. This privacy policy applies to Rentplex only. You should use caution and review the privacy policies of any sites that you visit from Rentplex to learn more about their information practices.

Rentplex is not intended for children's use. We do not solicit nor knowingly collect any information from children under 13 years old, and will we accept registration from them.

1. Information we collect

1.1 Personally Identifiable Information

This information is required when you sign up for Membership at Rentplex. This includes your full name, e-mail address, birthdate, sex, and country of residence. As Rentplex expands and adds more services, more information may be requested from Members.

1.2 Anonymous Information

This information includes your computer's IP address, the type of browser you use, the pages you view, any advertisements you click, the pages you view, etc.

Your Personally Identifyable and Anonymous Information are linked in Rentplex's databases.

2. How information is collected

2.1 Personally Identifiable Information

Personally Identifiable Information is collected through the registration form and from the Facts section of your Userpage. Under the Terms of Use Agreement, you must submit correct information. If Rentplex requests additional information, it will instruct you how to submit it.

2.2 Anonymous Information

Like many Internet sites, "cookies" are used to collect this information. A cookie is a small data file that we transfer to your computer and is stored on your hard drive. When you visit Rentplex your computer is identified by the cookie so that you do not have to re-register each time you visit. We may also use cookies to measure the traffic to Rentplex and the use of different services and features of Rentplex. Advertisers that appear on Rentplex may place cookies on your computer and their use of the information stored on those cookies is subject to their own privacy policies. You should visit their sites to learn about their information practices. Advertisers or other companies do not have access to Rentplex's cookies.

3. How information is used

3.1 Personally Identifiable Information

We use Personally Identifiable Information that you provide to communicate with you, to facilitate the services of Rentplex, to customize advertising and content available on Rentplex, to conduct research for internal purposes and use such information to improve the services of Rentplex

Some Personally Identifiable Information, such as birth date and sex, are aggregated to identify the demographics of Members of Rentplex. This information is used to effectively target advertisers and potential advertisers for the Site.

3.2 Anonymous Information

We use Anonymous Information to determine how Members and Visitors use Rentplex and its services. For example this data tells us information including how often users click on our advertisements, which files are downloaded most frequently, and which areas of our site are the most popular. Analyzing this data allows us to improve the offerings on and performance of Rentplex. Using your IP address, we can also determine the general physical location of a user and may at times use this information to better target advertising to Members and Visitors.

4. How information is shared

4.1 Personally Identifiable Information

Except as noted below, the Owner does not share your Personally Identifiable information with any third parties unless you give permission. Exceptions include:

a) Aggregated Personally Identifiable Information used to identify demographics of Rentplex's Members, such as average age of Members or Percentages of Male vs. Female Members, is shared with advertisers and potential advertisers. This information will only include statistical compilations from Rentplex's database.

b) If Rentplex becomes a part of another organization, including, but not limited to, by merger, change of control, sale of assets, or other acquisition, the aquiring organization will obtain and have access to the Personally Identifiable Information collected by the Owner and it will assume the rights and obigations regarding your Personally Identifiable Information as described in this Privacy Policy;

c) We will disclose Personally Identifiable Information when required by law or under the good-faith belief that such disclosure is necessary in order to conform to applicable law, comply with subpoenas, court orders or legal process served on the Owner, to establish or exercise our legal rights or defend against legal claims, and to protect the property or interests of the Owner, its agents and employees, personal safety, or the public. Under such circumstances, the Owner may be prohibited by law, court order or other legal process from providing notice of the disclosure, and the Owner reserves the right to not provide such notice in its sole discretion.

4.2 Anonymous Information

Aggregated Anonymous Information is shared with advertisers or potential advertisers to effectively target the Members of Rentplex

5. Changing Information

You may change your Personally Identifiable Information if it changes or is incorrect. You agree that you will not deliberately change this information to make it incorrect. To change the information, go to the About Me section of your Userpage, login, and edit the Facts.

You cannot change your Anonymous Information.

6. Publicly Posted Information

Some Personally Identifiable Information is listed publicly in the About Me section of your Userpage. To make any of the information unviewable to Visitors and Members, edit the Facts section and put a check next to any information you do not want to appear.

7. Security

Your Personally Identifiable Information contained in Rentplex's databases is protected by firewalls, encryptions, and other technological means to prevent intrusion or unauthorized accessed. They are located in a secure facility, and only the Owner, its employees and agents with a need to know the information are given access. While no amount of security can give a perfect guarantee, you can have a high degree of confidence that the Personally Identifiable Information you give is protected from unauthorized access and use.

You are encouraged to select passwords that cannot be guessed easily and to safeguard those passwords from disclosure. Please contact Rentplex if you have any information regarding unauthorized use of Rentplex.

8. Updates to Policy

The Owner reserves the right to update this Privacy Policy from time to time as the services of Rentplex change. If this Privacy Policy is updated, you will receive notification about significant changes by sending a notice to the e-mail address you specify in your account or by posting a notice of such changes on Rentplex. Unless otherwise provided, the revised terms will take effect on the date they are posted. Once such changes become effective, your continued use of Rentplex will signify your acceptance of the new Privacy Policy. If you do not agree to the terms of this Privacy Policy, or any revised Privacy Policy, your sole and exclusive remedy is to discontinue use of and Membership to Rentplex.
